The Kwikee 28 Series Electric Step opens and closes automatically with your door, so you don’t have to lift a finger. The 12V motor and control unit extend and retract a sturdy 23-5/8" wide x 10-1/2" deep steel step with a 7-1/2" drop/rise. A built-in switch kit lets you lock the step in the extended position when parked, and a C193 amber incandescent light comes on when the step deploys—making it easy to see at night.
Safety is built into every cycle. If the step strikes an obstacle, the motor automatically retracts to prevent damage. An ignition override pulls the step in when the engine starts, even if the override is on, so you never drive off with the step out. Non-slip treads and reflective strips keep footing secure in low light or wet conditions.
This step is built to handle real-world use. The powder-coated steel frame, solid drive rods, and stainless steel bushings stand up to road spray and weather. All wiring and connections are weatherproof, and air-pressed rivets at pivot points ensure long-term strength. The step supports up to 300 lbs and is backed by a 1-year warranty.
The mounting plate measures 24-1/4" wide x 8-5/8" deep with a 22" x 6-1/2" bolt pattern, so it lines up with many existing Kwikee installations. Most users find the wiring harness plugs directly into the existing 4-way connector, and if not, the included pigtail makes hardwiring easy. It’s a complete assembly with motor, control unit, switch kit, and light—all ready to plug in and go.

Our box was a little beat up but everything seemed to be ok inside the box.
Witing wise it fit perfectly as replacement but the mounting holes would not line up so I have to drill them out a bit...otherwise it should be good fix for us

Ordered the kwikee 28 electric step for my class A Winnebago. Bent old steps up in construction zone in northern Colorado
The price was reasonable and the step arrived as scheduled. Was identical to old step and bolted right up. Tried to use the original door switch but step retreated when door was opened. Wired up the new door switch which was included...everything worked great. Step is still working great after 1 year of service with numerous trips---long and short. Retired and use the rv weekly. Very pleased with product and etrailer.

Bolted and Plugged right in on my 2001 Winnebago Spirit Motor home. No modification. Old step was a Kwikee 28 Series Single Step. Works just like new.
The step is a replacement for the old one that was on the motor home
The bolt holes to mount it were an exact match the wire diagram was a little different than the old unit
The unit works great and was a lesser price that some others I have looked at
